What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.

The complete breakdown, with regulation, withdrawals, here pricing, and get more info the bonus terms, is at Trade The Day.
